A Notes app window on Mac with the list of notes at the left, pinned notes at the top of the notes list, and the Pin button on one note. The content of that note appears on the right with the date at the top; click the date to switch between the date created and the date edited.

Choose a default sort for all notes

Go to the Notes app Apple Account.
Note: You can’t pin a note in the Recently Deleted folder.
1. Go to the Notes app Add and remove folders in Notes on MacUse Smart Folders in Notes on Mac
