“The Art+Film Gala has hosted an incredible range of musical talent over the past 14 years,” gala co-chair Eva Chow said in a statement Wednesday. “Doja Cat is a boundary-breaking creative force who will bring her incomparable energy to the evening.”

Doja Cat, who grew up in the Los Angeles area, released her first EP, “Purrr!,” and album, “Amala,” in 2014. Her 2018 hit, “Mooo!,” launched her to international fame followed by her 2019 platinum album “Hot Pink,” which featured hits “Say So” and “Streets.”
Her third album “Planet Her,” released in 2021, debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top R&B albums chart. In April 2024, Doja Cat released her deluxe album, “Scarlet 2 Claude.” It was in that same year that she headlined Coachella. She most recently released her fifth studio album, “Vie.”
Art+Film proceeds support LACMA’s initiative to make film more central to the museum’s curatorial programming, while also funding LACMA’s broader mission, including exhibitions, acquisitions and educational programming, in addition to screenings that explore the intersection of art and film.
The gala is considered one of the city’s starriest events, attracting A-listers from film, television, music, fashion and the art world. This year’s gala will take place against the backdrop of LACMA’s nearly completed David Geffen Galleries, the Peter Zumthor-designed building scheduled to open to the public in April 2026.
