Pour yourself a tall glass of milk… “Babygirl” is officially coming to streaming.
The A24 erotic thriller will debut exclusively on Max on April 25. It will also premiere on HBO linear on April 26 at 8 p.m. ET.
Starring Nicole Kidman and Harris Dickinson, “Babygirl” follows Romy, a high-powered CEO who puts her career and family on the line when she begins an affair with her much younger intern. Directed by Halina Reijn, the film’s cast also includes Antonio Banderas, Esther Rose McGregor, Sophie Wilde and Izabel Mar.

“Babygirl” premiered at Venice Film Festival in August to rave reviews, with Variety‘s Owen Gleiberman writing that its “ambition isn’t just to feed the thriller engine. It’s to capture something genuine about women’s erotic experience in the age of control.” A24 released the film in theaters on Christmas, and it went on to earn over $63 million worldwide, making it one of the studio’s top 10 highest-grossing films.

Though Kidman missed out on an Oscar nomination for what some critics called the most daring performance of her career, she did take home best actress prizes at both the Venice Film Festival and the National Board Review, in addition to a Golden Globe nomination.
In an “Actors on Actors” conversation with Zendaya in December, Kidman said it wasn’t a difficult decision to sign onto the project. “As soon as I heard it was called ‘Babygirl,’ I’m like, ‘Yeah. I want to be the babygirl,'” she said. “And so much of it is the chemistry … The intimacy, and the ability to share your deepest, darkest secrets. I’m addicted to that.”
