U.S. led coalition warplanes struck IS positions in Kobani this morning

Reliable resources informed SOHR that the violent clashes between IS and YPG fighters have still erupted since detonating 2 booby- trappeed vehicles by IS yesterday after noon in the vicinity of al Hal Market in the west of the Security Box and Kani Erban area in the city of Kobani where YPG fighters could advance in Kani Erban area and take control over 2 IS points, while IS fighters could advance in the west of the Security Box. Al Hurreyyi Square area near the Cultural Center Building witnessed an IS attack in an attempt to advance in the area. In addition to, the southern front witnessed violent clashes between the two parties near the National Hospital, information reported casualties on both sides.

Reliable resources reported to SOHR that the U.S.- led coalition warplanes carried out 3 strikes this morning targeting west of the Security Box. The warplanes also carried out 3 other strikes yesterday night on IS positions in Kani Erban area.

IS militants launched 4 mortar shells at least on the border crossing that links the city of Kobani with Turkey.
