I think the OLED bar will be really useful.
Why? It was tried and it failed on the X1 Carbon. Lenovo got rid of it after one year and went back to real function keys. Apple is so desperate to seem innovative they are recycling other OEM’s failed ideas.

What even is Microsoft’s strategy for phones?
They don’t seem to have one. Windows Phone has been allowed to languish to the point of almost every tech blog declaring it dead. I switched from a 950 to an iPhone SE because if Microsoft doesn’t care about Windows Phone, why should I? The $399 + dock deal for the 950 should have been the starting price, but even that wouldn’t have mattered because Microsoft didn’t market the phones or inform consumers of the benefits of Windows 10. Its dead.

I installed Redstone 1 on my Surface Pro 4. It is complete garbage, on par with the quality of alpha software. Edge became unusable and won’t load pages. The system is unresponsive and tapping on tiles does nothing. I seriously wish I could put Windows 8.1 back onto my Surface. Microsoft should be embarrassed that the update they hyped so much is complete and utter shit.

Just read this article, and it is apropos to this discussion, but I can’t believe the brain dead moron that wrote it gets a paycheck from ZDNet. "Apple doesn’t work for you. Apple works for Apple." Horseshit. Apple exists to maximize value for its shareholders. That value will decrease if they keep selling computers with stale old designs and obsolete internals. We know that has caused a dramatic drop in sales. That doesn’t save money, it costs money in the long run. This article is pure drivel from an Apple apologist who has drunk way too much Tim Cook Kool-Aid.

The difference between Cook and Jobs is that Jobs had a follow up to the iPod. Cook’s got nothing. The Watch was a dud, and he’s got nothing in the pipeline. He’s a bean counter, not an innovator. He inspires no one.

I think it’s just a matter of allocation of resources. Even a company as wealthy as Apple has to prioritize and clearly the desktop and pro Macs are not high on that list.
Its not a question of Apple not having the resources to refresh the Macintosh line. They have billions to spend on R&D and product development. They can’t blame the pathetic, overpriced and underpowered Mac models they sell on Intel. They just don’t give a shit. Approximately 70% of their revenue comes from the iPhone. Short sighted and incompetent Tim Cook just wants to milk that cash cow dry, but has no idea what to follow it up with. He is squandering Jobs’ legacy and vision, and the Board needs to fire him before Apple is "beleaguered" again because the iPhone fad ended.

you can select by default to have things deleted completely and not sent to the recycle bin when you delete something
How? I also think the recycle bin is sort of useless and should go.
