50 Cent is developing a superhero series for Starz

50 Cent's next show on Starz will be his first foray into superhero TV. The Hollywood Reporter reports that, with the third season of his crime drama Power having just begun, 50 has extended his overall deal with the network, under which he'll develop Tomorrow, Today, a series about a superpowered vigilante on the streets of Chicago.

"I am looking forward to continuing my relationship with my Starz family, we have had great success together on "Power" and I am excited to get going on all of our upcoming projects together," said the rapper in an official statement. "This project is very personal to me…creating it, writing it, finding the best team for it and I will continue to be involved every step of the way."

"This project is very personal to me."

Tomorrow, Today will follow a Chicago native who, after being wrongfully imprisoned, winds up becoming the subject of experiments meant to turn him into the perfect killing machine. After he escapes, he must use his newfound abilities for good. telling MTV News back in 2014 that he wanted to play the bad guy in a Marvel movie.

50 Cent's deal with Starz locks him into the network until 2018, so it's entirely possible more shows from him and his new production company, G-Unit Film & Television, Inc., are in the works.
