Apple celebrates diversity in new iPhone ad to air during the Olympics
20Apple's latest iPhone ad is a sweet one, juxtaposing images of people across the globe with a recording of Maya Angelou reading her poem "Human Family." The ad premiered online today, but it'll make a TV debut during the Olympics' opening ceremony on Friday night. That's a fitting time, as Apple is very much celebrating what the Olympics is, in part, about: setting aside meaningless differences and coming together as one people. It's an iPhone ad, sure. But it's also Apple paying to broadcast a Maya Angelou poem for millions to hear, and that's pretty cool.
