The Tick and I Love Dick get series orders at Amazon

Amazon has picked up three of its new pilots to series. The Tick, I Love Dick, and Jean-Claude Van Johnson will all get a first season on Amazon Prime Video, reports.

Based on the book by Chris Kraus, I Love Dick follows Chris (Kathryn Hahn) and Sylvere (Griffin Dunne) as they take up an artist residency in Marfa, Texas. There they meet Dick (Kevin Bacon), who becomes both an object of desire and a symbol of female obsession for Chris. The Tick is a remake of the original 2001 superhero satire, based on a comic book by the same name. Jean-Claude Van Johnson stars (who else?) Jean-Claude Van Damme as a "global martial arts and film sensation" who is also an undercover agent hunting down bad guys.

All three series will premiere in 2017 in the US, UK, Germany, Austria, and Japan.
