Nintendo is taking its next console on tour. Today the company announced that starting January 13th — the day after it reveals more details about its next piece of hardware — Nintendo will be making the Switch playable to the public at large, with a multi-city tour that kicks off in New York. The Switch will be in each city for three days, and while the first two days will be invite-only, Nintendo says that the final day will be open to anyone — though you’ll probably want to get there nice and early.
“The Sunday stop of each tour is open free to the public, so anyone that wants to be among the first people in the world to experience Nintendo Switch will have her or his chance,” the company says. “Space is very limited, however, and fans will be let in on a first-come, first-served basis. Early arrival is highly recommended.” No specific games were announced — though The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a good bet — but Nintendo says that “select launch games” will be playable at the event.
We’ll know more about the Switch next month, as download Super Mario Run on your iPhone beforehand so you have something to play while waiting in line.
