The idea of a "small" (5"/5.2") flagship is dying
75I'm a person who has never particularly taken to big phones. They're unwieldy and it is difficult to hold a big phone while tapping certain areas of the screen. It's also difficult (for me anyway) to hold a big phone steadily while taking a photo in landscape.
I've been looking at the trend of new Android phones and it seems that most flagship phones have at least 5.5" screens, if not 5.7" and some even bigger. Is the "small" flagship dying? I remember when the "small" flagship was 4.7", with Sony's Compact series. Now it seems that people in general have just settled for bigger phones and accepted this trend.

MotorolaLenovo: Moto G4/G4 Plus - 5.5", Moto Z/Z Force/Z Play - 5.5" - LG: LG V20 - 5.7", LG G5 - 5.3", LG G6 - rumoured 5.7"
- HTC: HTC U Ultra - 5.7", HTC 10 - 5.2"
- Samsung: S7 edge - 5.5", Note - 5.7"
- Google: Pixel - 5", Pixel XL - 5.5"
- OnePlus: OnePlus 3/3T - 5.5"
- BlackBerry: DTEK60 - 5.5", Priv - 5.4"
- Sony: Xperia XZ - 5.2"
So obviously there are exceptions here like Sony and the Pixel and Samsung's smaller non-Edge phone, but the pool of "small" flagships is gradually getting smaller. The Pixel is the only 5" flagship phone in existence right now.
Hmmm. In many ways, Apple is guilty of this too, by differentiating the rear camera on the iPhone 7+ and therefore making it "better" than the smaller iPhone 7.
