Today’s episode of Touch the Skyrim features a few ambitious, large-scale mods that do not play well together at all, either mechanically or thematically. Susan Crushbone’s horny voyage takes a backseat, temporarily, as she pursues her new quest of becoming the world’s best (and potentially only) Pokémon trainer. But also she spends a lot of time hanging out with her weed dealer, which isn’t really part of Nintendo’s or Bethesda’s core vision for these franchises.

I made Nick a promise at the end of the last episode of Touch the Skyrim: that I would abandon our current, thoroughly ruined version of Todd’s classic RPG, and start in on a new, thoroughly horny iteration. This presented any number of logistical problems that I dealt with in the following weeks; problems like “how can we create this video without getting blacklisted by YouTube,” and, “why did I promise this dumb thing to Nick.”
The fruits of our horny labor can be seen above. This episode is NSFW, right? Like, you put that together already, I hope. The word “erotic” is in the headline of this post, for Pete’s sake.

We’ve basically given up on our quest to fix the unnatural flow of time in Touch the Skyrim, because all our efforts so far have only made things worse. Instead, we’re just going to see if we can force the game into a state of absolute unplayability, giving ourselves freedom to start over with a clean slate. In doing so, we kind of invent a new game altogether — like, we could sell this thing on Steam as Undersea Skeletal Kissing Adventure, and Bethesda would be none the wiser.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is one of my favorite games of all time. My colleague, Nick Robinson, does not share my appreciation for this game. My desire to convert him over to the winning team has aligned perfectly with the launch of Skyrim: Special Edition, which has brought the five-year-old game back into the public eye, albeit not with all of its marvelous, bonkers modifications intact. And so: Touch the Skyrim was born.
The premise for this video series is simple: In each episode, I'll install a generous handful of mods into the game — the classic version, mind you, as a lot of mods haven't been retrofitted for the Special Edition yet. That means that, with each subsequent episode, the list of mods will grow larger and larger, and the game more and more unrecognizable. This...
