Rooster Teeth has revealed the first details for RTX at Home, this year's virtual alternative to the studio's annual flagship convention, RTX Austin.

RTX at Home will be a 10-day virtual convention, running from Tuesday, Sept. 15 to Friday, Sept. 25. There will be a break in live broadcasts over the weekend, with Saturday, Sept. 19 and Sunday, Sept. 20 instead being dedicated to airing recaps and rebroadcasts from the previous four days of the con.

RTX at Home's programming will be broadcast on RoosterTeeth.com and Rooster Teeth's mobile apps (unless otherwise noted). The virtual convention will be free for all Rooster Teeth FIRST members (i.e. those with a $5/month subscription to the website). However, select panels will be free-to-watch for everyone, including the RWBY Volume 8 panel and the Red vs. Blue: Zero panel.

RTX is known not only for the convention itself during the daytime, but also the various comedy shows, parties, concerts and gaming events that take place in downtown Austin after the sun goes down. While those kinds of things won't be taking place this year, RTX at Home will "recreate the vibe with special one-time only virtual events." Those who would like to attend these events will have to purchase separate tickets, with FIRST members being given first dibs.

RTX at Home will also feature "virtual meet-and-greets with Rooster Teeth personalities, personalized video recordings, group happy hours and more!" Like with the nighttime events, these experiences will require the purchase of separate tickets. These tickets will be limited and, once again, Rooster Teeth FIRST members will receive early access.

Rooster Teeth assures the complete list of programming for RTX at Home, as well as more information regarding the nighttime events and virtual meet-and-greet experiences are on the way.

This year, Rooster Teeth celebrates its 10th main RTX event. Rooster Teeth held its first annual convention -- RTX 2011 -- in its hometown of Austin, Texas in May of 2011. The main, Texas-based convention was renamed RTX Austin in 2017 after the brand went international with events like RTX Sydney and RTX London. However, RTX Austin 2020 was among the events that had to be canceled amid the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Nevertheless, Rooster Teeth assures that with this year's virtual alternative, fans will still be able to watch panels, hang out virtually with Rooster Teeth personalities and experience this once-in-a-lifetime (hopefully) version of RTX from creators who know how to internet."

RTX at Home takes place Sept.15-25 on RoosterTeeth.com.
