Tarek was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, a community he now serves as a sportswriter for the LA Daily News. He was a full-time staffer from 2015 to 2023 and is currently a correspondent for SCNG. He can also be seen on CBS Los Angeles on weekends serving as co-host/sports analyst with Jim Hill.
