The Office of Forensic Services and Coordination oversees forensic clinical services and programming in state hospitals and state supported living centers, and develops strategies for forensic services in the Health and Specialty Care System.

Comprehensive Case Management Services (CCMS) supports adults and youth enrolled in intensive residential treatment by offering personalized case management.

Wichita Falls State Hospital provides inpatient psychiatric services to adults, children and adolescents. The hospital also provides psychiatric services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Vernon State Hospital is part of the HHS Health and Specialty Care System. The hospital consists of two campuses that provide inpatient psychiatric services to adults in a maximum-security setting and adolescents.

Texas System of Care (TxSOC) is a statewide initiative to enhance mental health services for children, youth and families.

The STAR+PLUS Home and Community Based Services program and Medically Dependent Care Program are Medicaid waiver programs that offer enhanced, community-based services for people who need the level of care provided in a nursing facility but who would like to remain in the community, including their own home.

Financial statistical reports represent self-reported data prepared by health plans under the terms and conditions of the Uniformed Managed Care Contract and the Uniform Managed Care Manual, and are subject to audit.  These reports cover Fiscal Year 2024 (Sept. 1, 2023 - Aug. 31, 2024).
