No, you do not need a MyNorthwell account to book a new patient appointment online. However, you will need one if you are booking online for a return appointment.
You can book an appointment for someone else by logging in to your account in the MyNorthwell app or Northwell.edu and choosing an online bookable provider.
There are a few ways to book an appointment with a Northwell Health provider—via Northwell.edu, the MyNorthwell app or by calling (888) 321-DOCS.
To check if your provider takes your insurance, log in to your MyNorthwell account via the mobile app or Northwell.edu. Search for your provider and click on the provider’s profile picture to view the insurance plans accepted. If you do not see the option to view insurance plans, call the practice directly.
