A search was underway on Wednesday for a British man authorities said vanished while visiting New York City over the weekend.
Jordan Butler, 40, was last seen wearing a black puffer jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers on Sunday around 4:45 a.m., police said. The U.K. native was leaving the Westin New York at Times Square, located at 270 W 43rd St., at the time.
Butler, who lives in North Willenhall, England, was reportedly in the area to participate in the New York City Marathon, which draws thousands of people to the Big Apple each year, sources close to the investigation told PIX 11. On Sunday, nearly 60,000 people completed the race, marking the second consecutive year New York shattered the world record for the largest marathon ever.

Police have described Butler as a white man with a slim build, blue eyes and gray hair. His disappearance marked the second in the city this weekend, as runners and their fans from all over arrived ahead of the big race.
Giacomo “Jack” Campione, who has cognitive disabilities, was dressed in a Halloween costume when he disappeared Friday morning. He was out with his group home housemates and an aide, but became separated from his companions in a crowd in Flushing, Queens, as he exited the Q13 bus.
According to CBS, Campione, who is from Long Island, spent the next two nights sleeping on the sidewalk. He was eventually spotted as the New York City Marathon was passing through Queens Plaza. Around the same time, he suffered a fall and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was ultimately reunited with his loved ones.
