Dishing on her time on the show, Ruth revealed a hidden hierarchy in the group that put certain people “at a disadvantage”, and took aim at the cast following her dramatic exit.

“There was probably an unspoken hierarchy in there,” she told The Sunday Times, “and that placed certain people like myself at a disadvantage, because I haven’t been in the industry very long”.

Before her murder, Ruth had pointed out to the group – backed up by Clare Balding – that Jonathan had tried to form an alliance with them and Niko Omilana.

The chat show host went on to vote for Niko at the round table – before denying ever suggesting an alliance in the car with the three other celebrities.

After receiving the dreaded murder letter in the fourth episode, she was convinced her “killer” was Jonathan Ross who she’d had a row with the previous day in which she called him a backstabber.

Discussing her exit, she said: “I knew this was coming.

“I was murdered definitely because I was a threat to the traitors. I was one of the few people in the group that had my own mind.”

The actress, who appeared in 2022 Netflix thriller series The Midnight Club, revealed Clare Balding became her ally on the show, telling The Sunday Times: “She knows her own mind.”

Ruth also spilled the tea on what happens behind the scenes – admitting strict booze controls, as well as a phone ban.

“You’re quite isolated,” she explained. “You don’t have a phone, you don’t have a TV, you’ve no idea what’s going on in the outside world, so it’s all you’re thinking about.”

“They’re very strict on alcohol,” she added. “It’s not boozy at all. You’re allowed two drinks at night.”

The actress, who had an above-the-knee right leg amputation aged 23 after sustaining a freak football injury in her teens, admitted its tough being a “strong woman”.

She said: “Sometimes being a strong woman can be lonely, because you’re branded as aggressive and difficult. I don’t think I’m any of those things. I just speak my mind.”

Ruth became the fifth celeb of the series to be kicked off the show, after plotting against Jonathan Ross.

The actress quickly became a fan-favourite after dropping one of the one-liners of the series as she zeroed in on her suspicions of the TV host,

She said in a confessional: “Don’t p**s in my ear and tell me it’s raining”.

Fans took to X to rain praise on Ruth, dubbing her an “icon”.

One wrote: “Best quote of the series so far.”
