MARRIED At First Sight UK groom Davide has spoken out following the news his TV romance to Keye is over.
It was revealed earlier this week E4 show.
Now, in a statement shared exclusively with The Sun, Davide has addressed the ending of his romance for the first time.
Davide said: “In light of mine and Keye’s relationship status being shared, I just wanted to speak on the situation personally.
“My time on MAFS was honestly one of the most life-changing experiences of my life. From the start I showed up as my true self, I was vulnerable, open, and completely genuine.
“I went into the experiment with an open heart and a real hope of finding love and I did.

“Before the experiment I had already done a lot of work on myself, especially around my boundaries and trust.
“Trust has always been one of my biggest boundaries and I came into this experience knowing it was something I would never compromise again.”
Davide continued: “The night in question, I had a gut feeling something wasn’t right.
“Out of my own insecurity I created a profile on Grindr to check whether Keye was on the app only to find that my gut feeling was correct.

“That moment was painful and it made the trust between us break in a way I couldn’t move past. That’s why when it was broken, it was something I simply could not overcome.
“I won’t lie I was deeply hurt and shocked but with time, I’ve healed and found peace.”
The reality TV star went on to say: “Even through the pain I don’t regret being part of this journey.
“This experience pushed me to grow in ways I never expected. It taught me patience, communication and what it truly means to choose yourself after heartbreak.
“I don’t hold any bitterness towards Keye, he has taken accountability for his actions and I respect that.
“I genuinely wish him peace and happiness. Sometimes love doesn’t end the way we hope but it still leaves behind lessons that shape you for the better, for that I’ll always be grateful.”

No-show Joe
It’s safe to say that a lot happened between Maeve Mathieson and Joe Wood.
After last week’s bombshell that Joe jetted off with Julia-Ruth Smith behind Maeve’s back, he didn’t show up for the reunion, dodging accountability – with expert Paul Brunson branding him a “coward”.
Meanwhile, Maeve was the class act and showed how much she had grown in the experiment, and even apologised to Julia-Ruth for her initial reaction to finding out they had been on holiday together.
Game playing
Julia-Ruth showed her true intentions for being on the show when she admitted on the couch that she was “never” attracted to her husband Divarni Groce Balogun, but chose to stay to see how the show played out. The experts weren’t buying it either – calling her apology anything but “genuine”.
However, she wasn’t the only one who had been playing games in this series.
Steven Springett was called out once more for lying during the experiment, after being caught on a dating app while married to Dr Neelima (Nelly) Patel. Pressed by Nelly to come clean, he finally confessed.
Love does win
But it wasn’t all doom and gloom. Lovebirds John Paul Shepard and Abigail (Abi) Callahan, plus Keye Luke and Davide Anica, were still utterly smitten at the reunion.
Married pair John and Abi are even talking babies – proof the experiment can spark the real deal.

Keye and Davide had appeared loved-up during the programme’s final vows only for it to be revealed things had come crashing down just months on from filming.
Speculation surrounding their relationship status had begun to emerge just over a week ago when Keye failed to confirm or deny if they were still an item during a very telling TikTok video.
