A WINE expert has revealed the £10.99 bottle of bubbly you need to pick up for Christmas Day.
Candace Strickland, who goes by This Wine Woman on social media, shared the budget-friendly buy and you’d better stock up.
The vineyard tour guide and expert wine taster was quick to share the Aldi wine with her TikTok followers and explain why it was so special.
She said: “I’ve just popped into Aldi on the way home, and they’ve got it in, the Christmas delight that is the Cremant de Jura.”
Costing just £10.99 a bottle, the wine is made in the Jura region of France is a sparkling wine made the exact same way as Champagne.
The only reason it cannot be called Champagne is that it is not made in the region.
Candace explained: “Cremant is made in the traditional method, the same method that you use to make Champagne, so that’s a double fermentation.
“This second fermentation is what gives the layering of flavours that make this wine special, unique and different.”
The wine is made from Chardonnay grapes and is grown in a hilly area with a cooler climate to retain its acidity – which is perfect for sparkling wine.
She added: “I think I would look really cool on your dinner table for Christmas and it’s one of the ones I’m gonna be recommending to you from the supermarket for Christmas.”

The chardonnay grapes had a lovely ‘lemon drizzle’ flavour to them said the wine expert with a dry, mineral finish.
The second fermentation process gives the wine that yeasty flavour profile that tastes like butter or bread, much like Champagne.
“It might seem a little steep £10.99,” she said, “But believe me, so much better than a Prosecco of the same price.
“If you can find this in Aldi, I would get one if I were you, in fact, I’d probably get two because this might be the one that I want to have with my family all over Christmas.”
The clip went viral over on her TikTok account @this.wine.woman and many took to the comments eager to try it for themselves.
One person wrote: “I am 100% buying this wine.”
Another commented: “Stop telling people please!!! I want it all to myself.”
“Nooooo, don’t tell people!!” penned a third.
