LIDL Ireland shoppers are set to love a new middle-aisle item that will save time on laundry.
The Minky 3‑Tier Heated Airer is priced at €99.99 and will be available in stores nationwide from November 20.
The clothes airer provides a space‑efficient, easier way to dry clothes indoors and has been a huge hit in the United Kingdom.
It’s a great alternative to the fitted heated rails commonly found in many modern homes across Ireland, which can be expensive to install.
It’s ideal for those who don’t have a dryer, don’t want to waste electricity on a tumble dryer, or don’t want to wait for dry days to hang clothes outside.
The drying line length is 21 m, providing space for up to two washing‑machine loads.

Thanks to its uniquely angled arms, it maximises airflow for faster drying.
It also folds flat for easy storage, so you can take it out when needed and tuck it away in a cupboard when not in use.
The gentle drying method reduces the risk of shrinkage, damage and wrinkles, which is why the airer is so popular.
A similar high‑street product would usually set shoppers back around €130.

“This is, for me and my family, a quick and safe solution to have the clothes dry and full of freshness after a few hours on this heated airer, giving us peace of mind that the clothes are nicely dry and clean.”
Launching during the chaos of Black Friday, shoppers are urged to grab it while it lasts before it sells out.
It is unknown how long it will remain in the middle aisle, so it may only be available there for a week.

THE HISTORY OF LIDL IN IRELAND
LIDL first opened in Germany in 1973.
Back then, it employed just three people, stocking 500 product lines.
The first Irish store, located just off Molesworth Street in Dublin, was opened in 1999.
This was Lidl’s first entry into the Irish grocery market.
Then, Lidl opened more stores in 2000, in Limerick, Letterkenny, Mullingar, Athlone, Cavan, Ballinasloe and Portlaoise.
Now, the retailer has over 180 stores and three distribution centres, employing over 6,000 people.
They work with a network of more than 260 Irish suppliers from the communities they operate in.
