Buy or rent movies and TV shows in the Apple TV app
The Store in the Apple TV app is your all-in-one destination to browse, buy, and rent a wide variety of movies and TV shows.
Once you find something you want to watch, you can purchase it, rent it (if it’s a movie), or choose how to watch it if it’s available on multiple channels and apps. If it’s available to start playing immediately, you’ll get the default channel or app that lets you watch it in the highest-quality version.
Select a movie, then do any of the following:
Watch a free movie preview in full screen: If a preview is available, it automatically begins playing in the background. To watch the preview in full screen, swipe up on the clickpad or touch surface on your on your remote to go back to the Store screen.
When you buy or rent a movie, it automatically plays in the highest-quality format available for your Apple TV, including high-definition (HD) and Find movies with 4K, HDR, Dolby Vision, or Dolby Atmos in the Apple TV app.
