Set up your Mac mini for current Mac users

This walk-through covers each step of the setup process and is intended to be used alongside Setup Assistant.

Before you begin

Keep your other Mac, or your iPhone or iPad, close at hand during setup, since some steps may require verification on another device.
Connect a display to your Mac mini. Consult the documentation that came with your display to understand what port and cable you need to use. For more information, see Restore your Mac from a back up.
