> System Settings, then click “Sign in with your Apple ID” at the top of the sidebar. Enter your Apple ID or create one. Click iCloud on the right, click Photos in the list of apps, then turn on Sync this Mac.

Turn on iCloud Photos

In the Photos app > System Settings, then click [your name] at the top of the sidebar.
