Export a Voice Memos recording to Files on iPad

Any recording can be exported from Voice Memos to the Files app on your iPad. Layered recordings are in QTA (QuickTime Audio) format. One-layer recordings are in .m4a format.

Export a recording

Go to the Voice Memos app .
Tap Save to Files, navigate to the location where you want to save the recording, then tap Save.
