Use email to transfer files

To transfer files using Mail on your iPad, see Use AirDrop on iPad to send items to nearby Apple devices.

Files sent to your iPad are located in the app where you saved the file or in the app that opens automatically when the file is received. Files sent to your Mac are located in the app where you saved the file or in the Downloads folder.
